CanPay Privacy Policy
This privacy policy applies to information collected by CanPay/ZipLine.
In order to provide the CanPay service to merchants and consumers, CanPay has partnered with several industry leading companies. One such company is ZipLine and you will see them mentioned throughout our website, privacy policy, and terms and conditions. ZipLine’s established technology is being used to help operate the CanPay network and manage CanPay consumer accounts. ZipLine also provides the CanPay consumer support.

About National Payment Card Association dba ZipLine (NPCA)
Merchants who work with Trusted Debit LLC (“CanPay”) receive payment settlement services from ZipLine (NPCA), a payment settlement network that uses the Federal Reserve Automated Clearing House (ACH) system (the “Services”). Zipline (NPCA) is a separate company from CanPay, and therefore CanPay is not responsible for Zipline (NPCA)’s obligations to any party, and Zipline (NPCA) is not responsible for CanPay’s obligations to any party.
Information we collect
In order to properly operate the Payment Card services, it is necessary to provide ZipLine (NPCA) with certain information about yourself and your checking account. The requested information includes, but may not be limited to your name, address, email address, driver’s license number, government-issued ID number, loyalty card number, and checking account information.
Updating account information
ZipLine (NPCA) will not modify your information without your permission, except in the case of correcting an obvious error (such as your zip code). You are responsible for keeping your financial account information with the enrolled bank account up to date. You may update or correct your information at myzipline.biz/canpay or the “Manage” account link on www.CanPayDebit.com.
Information we may disclose
ZipLine (NPCA) may disclose to CanPay, and the participating merchant(s) with which you transact business using the Services any information regarding your use of ZipLine’s (NPCA) Services at the particular merchant(s)’ location(s), and to other entities as permitted or required by law, including companies that perform marketing services for us, CanPay, or said merchants or with whom we have joint marketing agreements. These agreements allow us, CanPay, and our participating merchants to extend the value of your membership or provide you with additional benefits. Information will normally be limited to name, address and/or email address and purchase history.
Third parties
At ZipLine (NPCA), maintaining your trust and confidence is our top priority. We do not sell or rent non-public personal information about our members or former members. Other than sharing information with CanPay and participating merchants for the purposes of your use of the Services at the merchant(s)’ location(s), or as required or permitted by law, we do not share non-public personal information about our members or former members with non-affiliated third parties. We carefully manage and safeguard information among our companies and affiliates.
Security
We restrict access to your non-public information to participating merchants, CanPay, and those employees or affiliates who need such information in order to provide products, customer or collection services. In compliance with federal regulations, we maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards designed to guard and prevent misuse of your non-public personal information.
Use of driver license information
By applying for membership to ZipLine (NPCA) and enrolling your driver’s license information, you have voluntarily provided certain personal information in order to participate in this program. No information will be taken from your driver’s license’s magnetic stripe at participating merchants to create a database. Your driver’s license will be used only to verify your identity as a participant in the program.
Notification of changes
ZipLine (NPCA) may revise its privacy policy from time to time. If we are going to use or disclose your personally identifiable information in a manner materially different from that stated at the time we collected the information, you will have a choice as to whether or not we use or disclose your information in this new manner. Any material changes will be effective only after we provide you, via e-mail, with at least 30 days’ notice of the amended Privacy Policy. If you have cancelled your membership, you will not be contacted with notification of the amended Policy and your personal information will not be used or disclosed in this new manner.
We will post the amended Privacy Policy prominently on our website so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it and under what circumstances, if any, we may disclose it.
Customer service correspondence
If you send us correspondence, including e-mails and faxes, we retain such information electronically in the records of your account. We will also electronically retain customer service correspondence and other correspondence from ZipLine (NPCA) to you. We retain these records in order to measure and improve our customer service and to investigate potential fraud and violations. We may, over time, delete these records as permitted by law.

We may use network safeguards such as firewalls and data encryption, enforce physical access controls, and authorize access to personal information only for those people who require access to fulfill their job responsibilities. Those with access to your personal information are carefully screened, periodically reevaluated, and are required to keep all member personal information confidential. Security risks exist and no organization can genuinely promise you otherwise. Bad actors may defeat even the most carefully considered and implemented safeguards.
5.3 We store personal information securely and will retain that information for as long as necessary to maintain the Service, comply with our legal obligations and/or resolve disputes.

CanPay Electronic Communications Delivery Policy
This policy describes how Trusted Debit LLC (“CanPay”) delivers communications to you electronically. We may amend this policy at any time by posting a revised version on our website. The revised version will be effective at the time we post it.
Electronic Delivery of Communications
You agree and consent to receive electronically all communications, agreements, documents, notices and disclosures (collectively, “Communications”) that we provide in connection with your CanPay account (“Account”) and your use of CanPay’s services. Communications include:
- agreements and policies you agree to (e.g., the CanPay Terms and Conditions and the CanPay Privacy Policy), including updates to these agreements or policies;
- annual disclosures and other disclosures relating to your Account;
- transaction receipts or confirmations;
- Account statements and history and any other Account or transaction information; and
- federal and state tax statements we are required to make available to you, if applicable.
Communications shall be deemed to be received by you upon delivery in the following manner: (a) posting them to your Account on the CanPay website or in an associated mobile application; (b) posting them on or in a website or mobile application associated with CanPay or the services; or (c) sending them via electronic mail to the email address you used to create your Account.
Hardware and Software Requirements
In order to access and retain electronic Communications, you will need the following computer hardware and software:
- a computer or mobile device with Internet or mobile connectivity;
- a current web browser that includes 128-bit encryption (e.g. Internet Explorer version 6.0 and above, Firefox version 2.0 and above, Chrome version 3.0 and above, or Safari 3.0 and above) with cookies enabled;
- the appropriate mobile application, in the case of Communications delivered through such application;
- Adobe Acrobat Reader version 8.0 or other software capable of opening documents in .pdf format;
- sufficient storage space to save past Communications or an installed printer to print them; and
- a valid email address (your primary email address on file with CanPay).
By giving your consent to this policy, you confirm that you have access to the necessary equipment and are able to receive, open, and print or download a copy of any Communications for your records.
Requesting Paper Copies of Electronic Communications and Withdrawing Consent
The following additional terms will apply to electronic Communications: (a) you may contact CanPay to request another electronic copy of the electronic Communication without a fee; (b) you may request a paper copy of such electronic Communication within ninety days of the original Communication issuance date, and CanPay reserves the right to charge a fee to provide such paper copy; (c) you may contact CanPay to update your registration information used for electronic Communications or to withdraw consent to receive electronic Communications; and (d) CanPay reserves the right to terminate your use of the Services and any associated third party provider products and services if you decline or withdraw consent to receive electronic Communications. You may contact CanPay in relation to this policy by using the information available by clicking the “Contact Us” link on the CanPay website.
It is your responsibility to keep your primary email address up to date so that CanPay can communicate with you electronically. You understand and agree that if CanPay sends you an electronic Communication but you do not receive it because your primary email address on file is incorrect, out of date, blocked by your service provider, or you are otherwise unable to receive electronic Communications, CanPay will be deemed to have provided the Communication to you.
